MEET THE FLOURISHERS

ASHLEIGH GURLEY

baby gurley3Ashleigh is the founder of FLOURISH, INC and desires more than anything to see girls and women of all ages come to know the Lord in a crazy personal way. She walks through life, hand in hand, with her super fine hubby, Brett Mitchell and is the mama to two beautiful miracles, Sadie Anne and Todd Mitchell. After dealing with years of infertility, she decided to step out and pursue her daughter Sadie through adoption. A week after pairing, she found out that she was expecting a little boy and now, has two only two months apart! Ashleigh gets it.  She’s been there. From middle and high school break ups, intimidation and awkwardness to infertility, miscarriage  and adoption, she desires to help others who find themselves right where she was: lost, hurt and in need of love from the Lord.

Ashleigh has a bachelors degree from the University of Alabama in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology and is working on a Biblical Studies graduate certification from New Orleans Theological Baptist Seminary.  For four years, Ashleigh held the role as the student ministry Girls Minister at Gardendale First Baptist Church  and just recently felt the Lord calling her to stay at home with her babies full time.  She has such a heart for girls and women alike and  her desire for FLOURISH is as simple as it gets: to see girls get it, to see women truly get and grasp the love that Christ has for them, and she desires to help see that vision come to life through the power of the words right here at FLOURISH.  For booking, head to the page “TALK TO US”.

LONNA FAITH MOON

lonnaLonna is an 18 yeah old senior at Gardendale Highschool . When she graduates, she plans to finish her RN degree then head on over to Lee University to finish as a nurse Practitioner as well as achieve a degree in pastoral leadership/Counseling. She loves days where she can spend shut up in her room with a cup of tea crawled up into Abbas lap hearing Him speak. Her heart simply is this… to see young girls step out of what this culture stamps on them, to have them become vulnerable enough before the Lord that they catch the one glimpes it takes to fall in love with Abba. Her challenge? To be bold even when being bold may mean standing alone in order to flourish baby flourish.

ANGIE PENNINGTON

angie

Angie is the proud mother of two beautiful girls, Cassidy and Chandler. She absolutely loves Jesus, good coffee and her toes in the sand. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice but God escorted her into the direction of ministry several years ago. She currently serves as Executive Administrator at Desperation Church in Cullman, Alabama. God has given Angie a sweet love for writing. There is no place she would rather be than sitting at the feet of Jesus listening intently for Him to speak to her. She greatly desires to share these secret encounters with you through “The Woman Who Needs a Word”.  “Be still and know I am God…”. Psalm 46:10
Her challenge to us: Let’s honor Him by being still before Him. When we do, He will speak ever so kindly to us through His Word.
